Weekly Schedule
Mondays and Wednesdays are designated as our "academic" days. When we use the word "academic", we are deliberately focusing on the areas of literacy and numeracy, but our understanding of these concepts is grounded in developmentally-appropriate practice.

Tuesdays and Thursdays are designated as our "community adventure" days. The work of these days will reinforce concepts of community, creativity, and confidence.

We intend to rotate our community adventures through community service opportunities, animal exploration, additional outdoor explorations, and artistic and creative explorations.
Notification of Intent to Homeschool
We are happy to provide forms to assist with your notification of intent to homeschool (NOI). The two forms below are written to comply with Ohio regulations. If you need help filing with another state, please let us know and we will do our best to support you.

In Ohio, you need to hold a minimum of a high school diploma or a GED to homeschool your children. If you do not, we can be the supervisors of your homeschool. The forms below are designed for a parent who meets the high school diploma/GED requirement. If this is not accurate in your case, please let us know and we can assist you with editing the forms as needed.

Please note: you only need to file an NOI if your child is (a) 6 years or older by September 30 of the school year or (b) your child has previously been enrolled in a kindergarten and has not been formally withdrawn from that program. If your child does not meet these requirements, you do not need to file an NOI.

The first year that you file an NOI, you do not need to submit any assessment. This is the form we have prepared for first-time NOI .

Each subsequent year that you file an NOI, you do need to submit assessment from the prior year. We are able to provide the assessment of the prior year if you child attended The Ethel Streit School during the 2015-2016 school year. If not, you need to provide your own assessment in keeping with the Ohio Revised Code with your NOI. This is the form we have prepare for subsequent NOIs .

We recommend you send your NOI through certified mail or deliver it in person. The superintendent of your district has 14 days to review the NOI and determine if it is in compliance with the Ohio Revised Code.
